Middle East violence may defy a solution

In the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, how do we know which side to back?

Well, consider which side would put a bomb in a child's knapsack and send him to a busy marketplace?

Which side teaches its children that Jews are nonhuman? That should be sufficient cause to answer the questions.

But let us probe deeper. Why are they fighting? If we rewind the script and ask another question, we learn why this conflict, these hostilities are so entrenched. Why a “Middle East peace seems so impossible?” That question is – who was Abraham and Sarah's firstborn?

A final question along this dangerous line of thought, which is the question behind all our conflicts and troubles, “Is the word of God the word of God or not?” If not, we can only fight on. There is no human solution.
