Children invited to draw, win prizes Saturday at Lowell Park

DIXON – Young artists can spend time outdoors Saturday drawing the whispering pines at the Ruth Edwards' Nature Center in Lowell Park, 2114 Lowell Park Road.

This free Dixon Park District program is open to students in second through eighth grade.

The artists will work from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Pinetum. Participants are asked to bring a chair or blanket. Supplies will be provided, and prizes will be awarded, with one winner to receive a free art lesson from The Next Picture Show.
