4-H Fair in Amboy

AMBOY – The Lee County 4-H Fair and Junior Show continues today, Saturday and Sunday at the Lee County Fairgrounds, a half-mile east of state Route 52 and U.S. Route 30. Highlights include a tractor/truck pull at 6 p.m. today, Ag Olympics at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, and an open speed horse show at 1 p.m. Sunday. Go to leecounty4Hcenter.com for a complete schedule.

Music Fest in Sterling

STERLING – The third annual Main Street Music Fest will be Saturday at Grandon Civic Center in Central Memorial Park in the downtown. Gates open at 1 p.m., with music beginning at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 for those 13 and older, and entry is free for those 12 and younger. There will be art and food vendors, and beer and wine will be sold. The event is sponsored by Sterling Main Street.

Fourth Fridays in Sterling

STERLING – Fourth Fridays returns to the downtown today. Many businesses host cultural happenings, and there are special activities, events and savings opportunities to be found while exploring the shopping, dining and services in Sterling. 'Kiss Me Kate' on stage at SHS

STERLING – "Kiss Me Kate" will be performed this weekend at Centennial Auditorium in Sterling High School, 1608 Fourth Ave. Shows are set for 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for students, and $25 for a family of four. They are being sold at centennialauditorium.org or by calling the box office at 815-622-3248 from 3 to 6 p.m. today.

Music in the park in Rock Falls
