Quarter auctions set to help area PADS shelters

DIXON – Two Quartermania programs are being held this weekend to raise funds for local PADS shelters.

In Quartermania, participants bid one to four quarters on items from a variety of vendors.

The program to benefit Dixon PADS is tonight at Dixon Veterans of Foreign Wars, 1560 Franklin Grove Road. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; Quartermania runs from 7 to 9 p.m. Dinner and drinks will be sold.

Paddles to place bids will cost $5 for one, $8 for two and $10 for three. There also will be a 50/50 raffle. All proceeds besides the quarters bid will go to PADS.

Planned vendors include Avon, BluePrint Cleaning, Centerstage Dance Studio, Jamberry Nails, Live, Love, Craft, Mary Kay, Miche, Norwex, Origami Owl, Perfectly Posh, Plexus, Professional Skin Care & Massage by Jess/Young Living, Scentsy, Tastefully Simple, Tupperware, Uniquely U Fashion, Usborne Books, and Younique.

A Quartermania event to benefit Goodfellows and the Sterling PADS shelter will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Latin American Social Club, 2708 Fourth St.

Planned vendors include Pink Zebra, Bows, Origami Owl, Clever Containers, Tupperware, Stampin’ Up, Pampered Chef, Gold Canyon, 31, Posh, Paparazzi, Mary Kay, Tastefully Simple, Watkins, and Advocare.
