Genevieve M. Myers

DEKALB – Genevieve M. Myers, 90, of DeKalb, formerly of Genoa, died Friday, July 18, 2014, at DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center. She was a custodian at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb until she retired.

She was born Dec. 7, 1923, in Sublette, the daughter of John and Mary (Albrecht) Full. She married Russell H. Myers on Aug. 18, 1940, in Sublette. He preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 1987. She was a member of St. Catherine of Genoa Catholic Church in Genoa.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Keith (Debbie) Myers, Christina Myers, and Dawn (Anthony) Myers-Jenkins, all of Las Vegas; four great-grandchildren; and friends.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert L. Myers; a brother, Joseph; and a sister, Shirley.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday and the funeral at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon, with the Rev. Donald Ahles, pastor of St. Catherine of Genoa Catholic Church in Genoa, officiating. Graveside services, also conducted by the Rev. Ahles, will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
