State Police

One hurt Saturday in Ogle County crash

OGLE COUNTY – A Mount Morris man received minor injuries Saturday in a single-vehicle crash at Leaf River and Montague roads.

Ogle County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene at 5 a.m. An investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by Caly Jiles, 31, was northbound on Leaf River Road when the vehicle left the right side of the roadway and ran over a stop sign. Jiles' vehicle then continued north through the intersection and hit the north ditch at the T intersection.

Jiles was taken to FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport. His condition was unavailable Monday. He was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence and issued citations for improper lane usage and failure to stop at the intersection.
