DIXON – JoAnne L. Finn, 84, of Dixon, died Friday, July 18, 2014, at KSB Hospital in Dixon.

She was born Sept. 12, 1929, in Amboy, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Groth) Haley. She worked for Country Companies, the USDA ASC office in Amboy, and managed the family farm. 

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Walton.

She married Francis B. “Mick” Finn on Oct. 28, 1950, in Amboy. He preceded her in death March 11, 1978.

She is survived by her children, Colleen Oester of Amboy, Dennis Finn of Dixon, Doug (Andrea) Finn of Springfield, and Barbara Finn of Freeport; grandchildren, Michael Finn, Catherine Fagan, Alison Finn, Brian Oester, Stephanie McLaughlin; great-grandchildren, Matthew Fagan, Mitchell and Madelyn McLaughlin, and Sophia and Jack Oester.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Phil, Dan, Bill, and Frank Haley and sister, Trudy White.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy, and the funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Msgr. Thomas Bales officiating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Amboy.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
