Elaine Hubbard

STERLING – Elaine Hubbard, 74, of Sterling, died Saturday, July 19, 2014, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

She was born on July 19, 1940, in Tampico, the daughter of Freddie and Arlene (Musche) Burgess, and was a 1958 graduate of Sterling High School. She married Larry E. Hubbard on Nov. 20, 2005, in Fallbrook, California. Elaine graduated from beauty school, and she enjoyed interior decorating and floral design.

Surviving is her husband, Larry; her sons, Craig Rubright of Dallas, and Todd Rubright of Fallbrook; her daughter, Kim (Glen) Campbell of Fallbrook; two stepsons, Steve (Angie) Hubbard, and Phil (Shawna) Hubbard, both of Sterling; three stepdaughters, Cheri (Al) Blair of Rock Falls, Kim (Kevin) Ennis of Knightsville, Florida, and Amy (Kyle) Dir of Sterling; two sisters, Darlene (Ferrell) Durham of Sycamore, and Joyce Volk of Dixon; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; 15 stepgrandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Avenue, Rock Falls. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Harvest Time Bible Church, with the Rev. Dalmus Meeks officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling

A memorial will be established.
