Ice cream benefit planned at house

STERLING – An ice cream social fundraiser, hosted by the Sterling-Rock Falls Historical Society, will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Lincoln-Manahan House, 607 E. Third St.

The menu will include a variety of homemade pies for $3 a slice, $2 for Culver’s Frozen Custard, and $1 for iced tea, lemonade, or water. Custard, a slice of pie, and a beverage ordered together will be $5.

Tours of the house will be available.

Proceeds will benefit the Lincoln Learning Center at 611 E. Third St., which is under development to promote local history and provide a site for traveling museum exhibits to be shown.
