SAVANNA – Although work continues to reopen recreation areas along the Mississippi River as floodwaters recede, the Cattail Slough in Fulton and Thomson Causeway still were closed Tuesday, the Army Corps of Engineers said.

Campgrounds were closed at Bulger’s Hollow Campground in Clinton, Iowa, and Lock and Dam 13 near Fulton, but boat ramps were open at both sites.
