ROCK FALLS – A Rock Falls man was in jail Monday, accused of beating a woman in her home.
According to police, at 10:40 a.m. Saturday, Robert M. Woosley, 52, entered the home in the 500 block of Sixth Avenue and beat a 51-year-old woman, then fled. Her injuries were minor, and she wasn't taken to a hospital.
Woosley was arrested later that night at a different house in the same block and charged with home invasion, domestic battery, and unlawful interference with reporting of domestic violence, police said.
In 2010, he was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months for domestic battery in Whiteside County Court.
