WALNUT – Lorna C. Durham, 88, of Walnut, died Monday, July 14, 2014, at her daughter Sue’s home in Rockford.

Lorna was born July 19, 1925, in Sublette, the daughter of Wayne T. and Lola (Carey) Johnson. She was united in marriage to Tom Durham on Aug. 13, 1944. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2012. Lorna was a bus driver for many years. She also farmed with her husband, Tom. 

She is survived by two sons, Larry (Dawn) Durham of Metropolis and John (Cari) Durham of Walnut; two daughters, Jeannie Jones of Apollo Beach, Florida, and Sue (Chuck) Jenner of Rockford; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eva Blanche Burkey of Walnut, and Carolyn (Howard) Anderson of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one grandson, Trent Jones; and one brother, Douglas.  

Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and the funeral at 10:30 a.m. at Garland Funeral Home in Walnut, with the Rev. Brian Moore, pastor of First Christian Church in Walnut, officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
