Edwin Schreiner

MILLEDGEVILLE – Edwin Schreiner, 84, of Milledgeville, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at his home. He was a mechanic for many years and worked at Shank’s.

He was born Feb. 2, 1930, in Milledgeville, a son of Alvin and Delia (Frank) Schreiner. He married Sylvia Reed on Jan. 3, 1951. She preceded him in death on Jan. 3, 2008.  

Survivors include his children, Diana Finch of Madison, South Dakota, Gary Schreiner of Milledgeville, and Perry (Sharon) Schreiner of Leaf River; sister, Irene Fogel of Milledgeville; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.  

He also was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday and the funeral at 11 a.m. Monday at Milledgeville Brethren Church, with the Rev. Jim Black, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling. McDonald Funeral Home in Milledgeville is handling arrangements.

A memorial has been established to Hospice of the Rock River Valley.
