Thank you to all parade float helpers

The Lee County Council on Aging and Post House Ballroom thank all those who helped with our parade entry this year, commemorating our 40th (ruby) anniversary.

Thank you to the following: Theresa Sheridan for providing the beautiful, ruby-red ,convertible Mustang for our prom king and queen to ride in; Bob Sheridan for making sure they were safe and comfortable; Missy Helfrich for driving our prom royalty, and Gage Helfrich for riding and keeping them all company.

Thank you, Emma Carnaghi, queen, and James Powers, king, for riding as our prom royalty; Dave Diveley for providing the trailer, decorating and carrying our 40th anniversary banner; Dick McGrail for providing the 1942, red, Porsche Chevy pickup truck (from the ordnance plant) to pull the trailer and decorating; and to Lois Wilhelm for driving her three-wheel, ruby-red motorcycle (Mrs. Claus), and for Bruce Yearian riding with her (Santa), they always are the hit of our parade.

Thank you to our decorators, planners, and riders, Sherry and Sam Perez, Tyler Insley, Deana Nagy, August Martz, Hannah Sheridan, Cole, Austin, and Hailey Hey; and Geoff Vanderlin for carrying our sign; Justin Wiggins and Andrew Masters of the Dixon High School Key Club and Wiggins Computing for decorating and driving a ruby-red mule, all-terrain vehicle, showing support for the LCCOA.

Thank you all – you rock.

Note to readers: Julie McGrail and Cathy Reglin were the co-chairwomen.
