Help needed at school supply store

STERLING – Trinity United Methodist Church’s School Supply Closet, 910 Second Ave. will provide free school supplies and take donations starting July 29.

The closet will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. that day, then from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays in August, while supplies last. Families are asked to bring the supply lists from their schools.

Volunteers, including those who are bilingual, also are needed to help distribute supplies.

Donations of supplies or money will be accepted during store hours, or by calling 815-441-1988 or 815-441-8652. They also may be made from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 19 at the Whiteside County 4-H Show at the Whiteside County Fairgrounds, 201 W. Winfield St. in Morrison.
