State police announce safety check results

STERLING – District One state troopers announced the results Monday of a safety check which took place late Friday and early Saturday at the U.S. Route 30 bridge near Fulton.

Offenses included one registration, four driver’s licenses, one occupant restraint, and two for alcohol and drugs other than driving under the influence.

Safety check set for this weekend in Whiteside County

STERLING – A roadside safety check will take place during this weekend in Whiteside County, conducted by District One state troopers.

Officers will look for drivers operating vehicles in an unsafe manner, driving with suspended or revoked driver’s license, transporting open alcoholic beverages, and driving under the influence.
