Dances, summer reading at center

DIXON – A line dancing party is planned for 5:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Post House Ballroom, 100 W. Second St.

All ages with any level of dancing experience are welcome. The cost is $2. Soda, wine, beer, and spirits will be available for purchase.

An ongoing book sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday takes place at the Lee County Council on Aging. Books are priced from 25 cents to $1 each. Proceeds will go to support the council’s programs, such as meals, outreach assistance, bowling, and other social activities.
