Public’s help sought in graffiti spree in Sterling

Multiple pieces of public and private property were damaged

STERLING – The Sterling Police Department is seeking the public’s help with an investigation into multiple incidents of property damage that happened sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning.

Police say white graffiti was found on multiple cars and stop signs, and on Sauk Valley Media property, the Maple Pancake House, and residents’ fences - all in the area of Fourth Avenue east to Sixth Avenue and East Fourth Street north to East Seventh Street.
