Equality for all is his agenda

Oops, I did it again. It seems I got a couple of my fellow citizens stirred up with my "live and let live" comments in my last letter.

Homosexual agenda? I am not familiar with this agenda. The only agenda that I am familiar with and promote is the agenda of equality. The agenda of giving "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" to all Americans and citizens of Earth.

You talk about "God's law," but what some still fail to realize is that "God's law" does, indeed, change; it changes with different religions, different human interpretations of those religions. How many times has the Bible been translated?

What about the people who do not recognize "God's law"? Are they not entitled to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?" Isn't all human life sacred, whether we agree with them or not?

I have no Scriptures to quote you, but what I do have are the words of the architects of the great American experiment. "Question with boldness everything in life, including the existence of a God. For if there be one, surely he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear." – Thomas Jefferson

Rock Falls is considering a ban on leaf burning. Should the city finally take that step?
Yes. Sterling and Dixon have had bans for years. It’s time for Rock Falls to impose a ban.
No. It would be too great a burden for homeowners to dispose of fallen leaves in other ways.
