AMBOY – Two men, one from Amboy, are charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl Monday in a wooded area near town.

Alejandro Ceja, 22, of Cicero, and Joseph A. Castillo Jr., 18, were arrested Wednesday.

Ceja, charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse and criminal sexual assault, still was in Lee County Jail on Thursday on $250,000 bond. He has a status hearing July 16.

Castillo, charged with criminal sexual abuse, is free after posting $500 of his $5,000 bond. He also has a status hearing July 16.

According to the probable cause affidavit, a court document in which the Lee County Sheriff’s investigators provide their reasons for charging the men:

The girl said the two men gave her lemonade spiked with rum and smoked marijuana with her until she was intoxicated, then led her into the woods and assaulted her. She described clothing she had lost during the assault; investigators later found her clothes where she said she lost them.

Castillo admitted he and Ceja had sex with the girl, the affidavit says.

Ceja also was arrested in Lee County in March and charged with felony possession of marijuana, and with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. That case is pending.
