Salvation Army has new leadership

Public invited to welcome them Sunday

STERLING – The public is invited to a welcome the new Sterling/Rock Falls Salvation Army Corps administrators to town.

Envoys DeShawn and Christal Johnson will be the stars of the meet-and greet, to be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon Sunday at the Corps office, 409 Ave. F.

The Johnsons, whose first day on the job was Wednesday, have been full-time ministers with the Salvation Army since 2006, and most recently served 3 years at the Springfield Citadel Corps, the last year as assistant administrators.

The Johnsons have five children.
