Music, preaching part of evening

DIXON – A community worship service will be at 9 a.m. Sunday in the main stage area of the Petunia Festival, just off Galena Avenue.

The Rev. Rachel Cocar of First Baptist Church will preach, and the Rev. Marilyn Nolan of Grace United Methodist Church will share a message with the children. Music will be by the Sauk Valley Praise Team. Other Dixon clergy also will lead parts of the service.

Golf carts will be in the area to help transport worshippers to and from parking spots. Some seating will be available. Lawn chairs, sunglasses, and hats are recommended.

In case of rain, the service will be at First Presbyterian Church, 110 E. Third St.

For more information, call 815-288-1505 or 815-284-7741.

The service is sponsored by the Dixon Area Christian Ministerial Association.
