Police: Man seriously injured in home invasion

STERLING – A Sterling man was seriously injured in a home invasion at his home in the 1300 block of Griswold Avenue just after noon Tuesday, Sterling Police said in a news release.

The man, whose name was not released, was taken to CGH Medical Center then airlifted to a Rockford hospital, said police, who declined to state the nature of his injuries, what, if any, weapon was used, or anything about the intruder.
