DIXON – Marilyn Jean Yeater, 82, of Dixon, died Monday, June 23, 2014, at her home. She was a homemaker.

Marilyn was born July 10, 1931, in Polo, the daughter of George and Anna Pearl (Vance) Galor. She married Foster Yeater on May 3, 1952, in Polo. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1993. Marilyn attended the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Polo.

Survivors include one son, James (Cheryl) Yeater, and one daughter, Judy (Steve) Dawson, both of Dixon; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, George Vernon Yeater in infancy.

Graveside memorial service will be at a later date at Fairmont Cemetery in Polo.

A memorial has been established to Granny Rose Animal Shelter.
