Casey’s to help weather victims

The Midwest River Region of the American Red Cross has teamed up with Casey’s General Stores in Iowa and Illinois.

The American Red Cross works around the clock to help people in the affected areas with shelters, food, water, and supplies. after recent tornadoes, high winds, and flooding. Two of its emergency response vehicles have been deployed to distribute food and relief supplies and more are on alert.

An emergency shelter was opened in Pilger, Nebraska, to help residents impacted by the storm. In the Midwest River Region, six families were helped after storms came through. Volunteers also will travel to Platteville, Wisconsin, to help individuals who were affected due to storms that hit in that area.

To donate, go to redcross.org, call 800-800-733-2767, text REDCROSS 90999, or visit any Casey’s General Store.
