Water leak closes O'Hare Airport train station

Published: Thursday, June 12, 2014 10:30 a.m. CST

CHICAGO (AP) — Authorities have shut down the Chicago Transit Authority train station at O'Hare International Airport because of an apparent water leak.

CTA spokeswoman Lambrini Lukidis says the agency is stopping Blue Line trains at an earlier station, in Rosemont, and busing passengers to and from the airport.

The Chicago Fire Department was on site.

Lukidis says the CTA has not been given any indication of when the station will be allowed to reopen.

She had no additional information.

A Chicago Fire Department spokesman could not be reached for comment.
