Bloomin on the Rock gets segment on KWQC

Dixon event starts June 28

DIXON – Shirley Vivian of the Rock River Garden Club and Chris Hammitt of State Farm Insurance will appear on Paula Sands Live (KWQC-TV) at 3 p.m. Thursday for a 15-minute segment on Bloomin on the Rock.

Bloody Marys and garden containers will be featured in the live variety show. Also appearing will be a representative Life’s a Feast, a caterer based in Galena and Dubuque, Iowa.

The planted containers will be auctioned at dinner, as part of the club’s June 28-29 event. During the event’s weekend, there will be a garden walk from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, a gourmet dinner with cocktails at 5 p.m., and a breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon June 29.
