STERLING – Woodlawn Arts Academy’s annual appeal campaign is underway, with the theme “Splashes of Expression.”

The academy gives people the opportunity to dive into the arts and find their artistic expression of choice, according to Christy Zepezauer, executive director.

The campaign will run until July 31. Donations can be submitted at woodlawnartsacademy.com, mailed to Woodlawn Arts Academy 3807 Woodlawn Road, Sterling, IL 61081, or in person. The academy is a 501(c)3 organization. All donations are tax-deductible.

Registration continues for the Roy G Biv Fun Run to be at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 8 on the academy lawn. The run involves being splashed with nontoxic powdered color to create artwork. Visit getmeregistered.com/roygbivfunrun, call 815-626-4278, or stop at the academy for more information. Registration forms can be downloaded from the academy website or found in the academy’s Summer Arts Program Guide.
