Published: Wednesday, June 11, 2014 1:15 a.m. CDT • Updated: Tuesday, July 22, 2014 8:14 a.m. CDT

At 6 p.m. Thursday, the Rock River Forum will meet at the Rock Falls Public Library. I will present an overview of the Illinois Master Naturalist Program, which is offered by the University of Illinois Extension.

This program is designed for adults of any age to learn how to positively impact our local environment. Included in this training are such course topics as botany, prairie ecology, geology and soils, and environmental ethics.

Discussion and questions will be actively encouraged. All are welcome.

Note to readers: Susan J. Atchley is a certified Illinois Master Naturalist.
