WALNUT – Programs for all ages are underway at Walnut Public Library, 101 Heaton St.

The book discussion group will meet at 7 p.m. June 25 in the adult reference section. This month’s book is “Every Day,” by David Levithan. The group is open to adults, and college and high school students.

Box tops for Box Tops for Education will continue to be collected this summer inside the library. After library hours, donors can place the box tops in an envelope in the book drop. Bureau Valley North Elementary and Junior High School in Walnut receives 10 cents for every box top donated.

Grade school children can take part in the Summer Reading Program, Paws to Read. Books can be about any subject, and children can start to read them now. Program sessions start at 1:30 p.m. July 9 and continue on Wednesdays.

Coupon clippers can get and leave coupons at the library. Expired coupons will be accepted, since they can be used by military personnel overseas.

The library has an ongoing book sale. A bag of books, VHS tapes, or audiobooks on tape costs $1. Buyers can mix items in a bag.

For more information, call the library at 815-379-2159.
