Asian elephant coming to Rock Falls

ROCK FALLS – The Endangered Ark Foundation will provide free educational tours featuring an Asian elephant starting at 10:15 a.m. June 24.

Tours will take place at the circus grounds behind Gieson Motorsports, 800 U.S. Route 30 East. The foundation is supported by Carson & Barnes, and works to save Asian elephants worldwide and to educate the public.

The circus will perform at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 June 24 at the grounds. Children’s advance tickets are $6, and adults’ advance tickets cost $12. Advance tickets can be bought through June 23 at Gieson Motorsports, or at Community State Bank, 1801 First Ave., Rock Falls, or 3210 E. Lincolnway, Sterling. On June 24, tickets will cost $10 for children and $16 for adults.
