Sterling church plans annual party

STERLING – Amazing Grace Church’s fifth annual July 4 celebration will be from noon to 5 p.m. Independence Day on Second Avenue, between Fifth and Sixth streets.

The city block will be lined with inflatables that include three water slides, a rock climbing wall, a Euro-Bungy, a cannon blaster, chair swings, bounce houses, a dunk tank, and a train for small children. Splash pools will be provided for smaller children. Activities are free; only food is sold.

Representatives of the Sterling Fire Department, CGH Medical Center Ambulance, and the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Department will provide equipment for display.
