Sterling church plans annual party

STERLING – Amazing Grace Church’s fifth annual July 4 celebration will be from noon to 5 p.m. Independence Day on Second Avenue, between Fifth and Sixth streets.

The city block will be lined with inflatables that include three water slides, a rock climbing wall, a Euro-Bungy, a cannon blaster, chair swings, bounce houses, a dunk tank, and a train for small children. Splash pools will be provided for smaller children. Activities are free; only food is sold.

Representatives of the Sterling Fire Department, CGH Medical Center Ambulance, and the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Department will provide equipment for display.

For more information, call the church at 815-625-9300 from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
