Casandra Kurschner, 17, of Polo, is Polo Community High School’s April Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Todd Kurschner and Reanne and Wes Krueger, and has a sister, Tess Kurschner, and a brother, Alex Krueger.

After graduation: I plan to go to college to study counseling or psychology.

What is one tip you would give the freshmen? Study hard and don’t have a huge ego. Make friends and be loyal to them.

Trading places: I would love to trade places with Shakira, because she speaks beautiful Spanish and has an amazing voice.
