Teen hurt Monday in rollover crash

OGLE COUNTY – A 16-year-old boy received minor injuries Monday after his car rolled over after he was run off of North German Church Road.

Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies and Byron Fire Department personnel responded to the scene at 6:06 p.m. An investigation revealed that the boy was southbound on German Church Road in a 2004 Chevrolet Blazer when a vehicle ran him off the roadway.

The boy was taken to Rockford Memorial Hospital for treatment, and his condition was unavailable Tuesday. The accident remains under investigation.

3 injured Sunday in 2-vehicle crash

OGLE COUNTY – Three people received minor injuries Sunday in a two-vehicle crash in the 9000 block of state Route 26 North.

Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene at 8:21 a.m. An investigation revealed that a Toyota driven by Hien N. Huynh, 26, of Overland Park, Kansas, was southbound on state Route 26 when it crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a trailer pulled by a Dodge truck driven by James Druien, 49, of Dixon.

Huyhn and two passengers in the vehicle, Ngan N. Huyhn, 18, and Ngoc K. To, 20, both of Overland Park, were taken to FHN Memorial Park in Freeport for treatment. Their conditions were unavailable Tuesday. Hien N. Huyhn was cited for improper lane usage.

Oregon man hurt in motorcycle crash

OGLE COUNTY – An Oregon man was injured Sunday in a motorcycle crash on West Penn Corner Road.

Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene. An investigation revealed that the motorcycle, driven by Robert Byrd, 58, left the edge of the roadway. Byrd lost control, and his vehicle crashed in the ditch. He was taken to a hospital for minor injuries, and his condition was unavailable Tuesday.

One injured in Ogle County crash

OGLE COUNTY – A Milledgeville man received non-life-threatening injuries Sunday in a single-motorcycle accident.

Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies and Polo fire and police responded to the scene at 11:06 p.m. An investigation revealed that Michael Staley, 21, was westbound on Eagle Point Road when he entered the north ditch and struck a culvert. Staley was thrown from his motorcycle and came to rest in the ditch. He was taken to KSB Hospital in Dixon, where his condition was unavailable Tuesday.

Staley was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, and given a notice to appear in court. The crash remains under investigation.
