Grateful for support of education

Published: Saturday, May 31, 2014 1:15 a.m. CST

The awards assembly held on May 22 at Dixon High School not only highlighted the efforts, achievements and successes of our students, but also showed the support and generosity of our community.

Colleges, local individuals, businesses and service organizations awarded a total of $187,200 in scholarships to our seniors. The students, staff and administration at DHS appreciate the community members who recognized our students and assisted them financially with their post-secondary endeavors.

Thank you to all who participated in our awards presentation. We are grateful to be part of a community that supports education.
