Mini golf, live music planned at riverfront

DIXON – The city’s first Mini Golf Outing will begin a 2-day start-of-summer festival Friday and Saturday at the Dixon Riverfront.

Dixon Main Street & Riverfront are organizing the celebration. The outing will begin with lunch at noon Friday and have a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Foursomes are $200 and include lunch and more.

From 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, the course will be open to the public. Live music by the Downtown Rhythm Kings will be offered. Admission to the festival is free.

From 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, the course also will be open to the public. Live music will be provided by 30 West, Small Town Hymnal, The Reuter Brothers, and more to be announced.

Cost to play the course is $5 for adults and free for kids younger than 8. There will be food vendors and a beer and wine tent from Crystal Cork offered throughout the festival.
