Score: Blue team 105, Red Team 83

MVP: Greg Schule, Walnut, 21 points

Recap: The Blue team scored a whopping 73 points in the second half to blow away the Red team. Schule scored 13 of his 21 points in the final 7 minutes. Teammate Todd Etheridge (Ohio) led all scorers with 25 points. Former Polo center Bob Sterenberg led the Red team with 13 points and 10 rebounds. The Blue team was coached by Lloyd Johnson (Ohio). Polo’s Lance Malburg won the 3-point contest, while Walnut’s Dave Mattingly won the dunk contest. Schule was slated to attend Augustana and play football.

Coming this year

• The 2014 SVM All-Star Classic will be coming from Musgrove Fieldhouse on the campus of Sterling High School on June 19, 2014. The girls game starts at 5 p.m. The boys game will follow at 7 p.m.

Austin Donoho was a leader for the Rockets in football, basketball and baseball. Now, he will bring his talents and 12.5 ppg. to the Gazette boys team.
