2A Morrison

When: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday

Where: Morrison Sports Complex

Teams: No. 1 Alleman (21-5), No. 2 Erie-Prophetstown, No. 3 Morrison (23-4), No. 4 Riverdale, No. 5 West Carroll (11-18)

Players to watch: Kylie Ackerman, Erie-Prophetstown so. P; Izzy Anderson, Alleman jr. IF; Chelsea Eads, Morrison sr. C; Abby Maike, West Carroll jr. P; Lexi VenHuizen, Riverdale jr. P

Outlook: Alleman won its first Western Big 6 conference title since 2000, and will prove to be a tough matchup for either Morrison or Erie-Prophetstown in the regional title game. The Fillies and Panthers split two Three Rivers North games this season, and they will clash in what should be an epic semifinal under the lights on Tuesday.

Favorite: Alleman

2A St. Bede

When: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday

Where: St. Bede H.S., Peru

Teams: No. 1 Seneca (17-14), No. 2 Hall , No. 3 Princeton, No. 4 St. Bede, No. 5 Bureau Valley

Players to watch: Darcy Kepner, Bureau Valley so. P/SS; Tara Kunkel, St. Bede sr. cf.; Madison Manzel, Princeton P; Adriana PIkula, Hall, fr. P; Lexi Trompeter, Seneca jr. SS.

Outlook: St. Bede finished fourth in Class 2A and return some key players from that team. The Bruins just have not been able to recapture that magic so far this season. Senecas has been consistent, and Hall is depending upon on a talented freshman pitcher.

Favorite: Seneca

2A Stillman Valley

Where: Stillman Valley H.S.

Teams: No. 1 Stillman Valley (19-0), No. 2 Byron, No. 3 Forreston-Polo (15-11), No. 4 Oregon, No. 5 Rockford Christian

Players to watch: Payton Abbott, Stillman Valley jr. P; Abby Peterson, Forreston-Polo so. P; Sommer Rhea, so. SS/OF

Outlook: Abbott and the Stillman Valley Cardinals have been dominant this season, capturing the Big Northern West crown. It'll be a tall task for any of teams in this regional to upend the Cardinals.

1A Eastland

When: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday

Where: Eastland H.S., Lanark

Teams: No. 1 Amboy (16-9), No. 2 Newman (13-11), No. 3 Milledgeville (19-6), No. 4 Fulton, No. 5 Eastland, No. 6 AFC

Players to watch: Morgan Adolph, Milledgeville sr. P/3B; Bubby Doubler, so. P/IF; Julie Hurd, Newman jr. C; Jenna Jones, Fulton sr. SS; Cassidy Koning, AFC so. P/IF; Kaitlyn Liebing, Amboy jr. C

Outlook: Milledgeville is the defending 1A state champs, but face a pretty balanced regional. They lost to Newman in extra innings earlier this season. Amboy seems the most ready to emerge as a contender in the regional and potential sectional champion threat.

Favorite: Amboy
