Viola ‘Vi’ Andreas

APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. – Viola “Vi” Wells Andreas, of Apache Junction, formerly of Sterling, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, peacefully in her sleep.

She was born in Sterling, the daughter of J.I. and Beulah (Kraft) Wells. Vi lived much of her life in Sterling, but traveled the world and lived in many countries, including Turkey and Spain. Vi was outgoing and gregarious. She never met a stranger. She was active in the Moose, Elks, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and American Legion. It was common to find her out bowling, playing darts, and enjoying the company of new friends and old.

Those left to honor her memory are her loving husband, Merle “Curly” Andreas; her son, David Myrick; her daughter, Janel Myrick; her brother, Ed Well; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Everyone’s life was enriched by having had the privilege of knowing Vi.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol (Myrick) Laidig; her brother, Keith Wells; and her parents.

A celebration of her life for family and friends will be at 1 p.m. May 31 at the Sterling American Legion.
