Three arrested in alcohol stings

WHITESIDE COUNTY – State Police agents arrested three store employees after alcohol countermeasure enforcement surveillance Thursday at 17 Whiteside County businesses.

The stores were in Morrison, Prophetstown, Rock Falls, and Sterling. Of those, Casey's General Store in Morrison, Save-A-Lot in Rock Falls, and Polo Road Mobil in Sterling sold an alcoholic beverage to a minor. Store employees Cendra K. Engelkens, Deata D. Pollock, and Tess D. Fisher were arrested on a charge of unlawful delivery of alcoholic liquor to a minor. All were released on a notice to appear in court.
