Larry E. Dyche Sr.

ROCK FALLS – Larry E. Dyche Sr., 70, of Rock Falls, died Thursday, May 15, 2014, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

Larry was born May 18, 1943, in Walnut, the son of Charles Dyche and Dorothy (Sarver) Royer. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Jim Royer. He graduated from Walnut High School. Larry married Mary Alcala in 1973 in Morrison. He retired after 30 years of working as a truck driver. Larry was always telling jokes, he loved going to the casino and enjoyed many types of racing.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; two daughters, Shelly (Clyde) Arrington of Sylvis, and Misty Swanson (Jeff Wells) of Sterling; two sons, Larry Dyche Jr. of Aledo, and Terry Dyche (Amy) of Keithsburg; four sisters, Wendy (John) Parker of Rock Falls, Marilyn Yucus of Ladd, Joyce (Ike) Jepson of Durant, Iowa, and Nancy Zatkoff (Ken Gribaudo) of Fort Bragg, California; one brother, Chuck (Nancy) Dyche of Dixon; two grandchildren, Tyler Swanson and CJ Dyche; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather and one sister, Shirley Thrasher.

Cremation rites are being handled by McDonald Funeral Home and Crematory in Rock Falls.
