Annabel L. Cunningham

POLO – Annabel L. Cunningham, 99, of Polo, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014. 

She was born Jan. 18, 1915, in Polo, the daughter of Henry and Bertha (Gilbert) Stauffer. She was united in marriage to John Cunningham Jr. on Oct 6, 1933, in Polo, He preceded her in death in March 2008. Annabel was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of the Polo Church of the Brethren. She also was a member of the Polo Garden Club, and was a 4-H leader. She was active in the community, and will be missed by all. 

Survivors include two daughters, Sylvia (Thomas) Howell of Indiana and Carolyn (Kenneth) Hillsten of Texas; one son, Dean (Nancy) Cunningham of California; seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one step-great-great-grandchild.

She also was preceded in death by four brothers, Wilbur, Robert, Harold, and James Stauffer; and one granddaughter, Monica Howell

Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday and the funeral at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Polo Church of the Brethren, 401 S. Congress Ave. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Polo. Polo Family Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
