Retired farmer strives to drive tractor across U.S.

DIXON – A 1948 John Deere Model A tractor is on its way across America to raise money for the Wounded Warriors Project, which helps injured service members.

Ivan Stolzfus, a retired farmer from Pennsylvania and Florida, is on a mission to drive his tractor across the country. He will speak at 10:30 a.m. June 1 at First Baptist Church, 111 E. Second St., during Restoration Sunday activities.

After church, there will be a car, tractor and motorcycle show, followed by a parade at 5 p.m. Stolzfus and his tractor will lead the way. Show entries are needed.
