Car hits deer; driver hospitalized

OGLE COUNTY – A Polo woman was taken to KSB Hospital on Wednesday after her vehicle struck a deer on state Route 26 South.

Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene at 10:42 p.m. An investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by Shanna M. Hillers, 30, was southbound when it struck the deer. Hillers was taken to KSB Hospital’s emergency room for precautionary measures. Her condition was not available Thursday.
