One injured in

single-vehicle crash

OGLE COUNTY – A Rockford man remained in fair condition Wednesday at OSF St. Anthony Hospital in Rockford after a single-vehicle crash Tuesday near Mulford and Quarry roads.

Ogle County deputies and Lynn-Scott-Rock Fire Department personnel responded to the scene at 7:12 p.m. An investigation revealed that a 2008 Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by Kevin M. Thomas, 31, was northbound on Mulford Road when he lost control and skidded more than 400 feet before coming to a stop. Thomas was not cited in the crash.

Two injured in Lee County crash

LEE COUNTY – A two-vehicle crash Tuesday at Lowell Park and Timber Creek roads left two Oregon residents injured.

Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene at 6:09 p.m. An investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by Anica Shearer, 39, of Chicago, was westbound on Timber Creek Road. Shearer left the stop sign and drove in front of a vehicle headed south on Lowell Park Road, driven by Jordan Perry, 22.

Perry and a passenger in her vehicle, John Anderson, 56, were taken to KSB Hospital in Dixon for their injuries. Their conditions were unavailable Wednesday. Shearer was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way at a stop intersection.
