Genealogists plan dedication

DIXON – Lee County Genealogy Society members will mark two events with an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at their renamed library.

The former Family Tree Center Library, 111 S. Hennepin Ave., will be renamed the Rita Welsh Memorial Library at a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon. A society member, Welsh died May 6.

The public can attend, and refreshments will be provided.

Friday will mark the 20th anniversary of the society’s first meeting.
