Three accused of throwing Molotov cocktail

Fourth person could face charges, police say

DAVIS JUNCTION – Three Ogle County residents are facing charges after a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a Davis Junction home 2 weeks ago.

Authorities have arrested Nathan L. Johnson, 24, and Catherine E. Dutton, 18, both of Davis Junction; and Whitney E Altepeter, 18, of Creston. They face charges of possession of an incendiary device, reckless conduct, and criminal damage to property.

According to a news release release from the Ogle County Sheriff's Department, a fourth person might also be facing charges.

According to the release, deputies responded to a call reporting suspicious activity in the 100 block of Dayflower Circle in Davis Junction just after 2 p.m. April 26.

The three were taken to the Ogle County Jail on Saturday, where they remained Thursday on bonds of $25,000.
