BOWLING

Corbin to sign at Highland

Oregon senior Karissa Corbin will sign a National Letter of Intent today at 2:45 p.m. at Oregon High School to join the bowling team at Highland Community College in Freeport.

Corbin will join a roster returning four bowlers from a NJCAA National runner-up team.

YOUTH BASEBALL

Hit, Pitch & Run set for Saturday

The Coloma Park District will host a MLB Hit, Pitch & Run competition at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Wallingford Park in Rock Falls.

The competition is open to boys and girls 7 to 14 years of age in the Coloma and Montmorency Townships.

Registration fee is $1. For more information, contact the Park District office at 815-625-0272.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Morrison hosting basketball camp

The Morrison varsity basketball program will be hosting a 2-week camp for players ranging from third grade to seniors in high school during the weeks of June 2-5 and June 9-12.

Third and fourth graders will go from 8-9:30 a.m. the first week and noon-1 p.m. the second week. Fifth through eighth grade will go from 9:45 to 11:15 a.m. the first week and 1:15-2:15 p.m. the second week. High schoolers will go from noon to 1:45 p.m. the first week and 2:30-4 p.m. the second week.

GOLF

HRRV Outing set for June 27

Hospice of the Rock River Valley, along with CGH Medical Center, will present the 12th annual HRRV Memorial Golf Outing on June 27 at Deer Valley Golf Club.

The scramble format will begin with registration at noon and a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Registration includes golf, cart, lunch, hole games and awards.

RUNNING

Dutch Dash set for June 29

The Tampico Dutch Dash 5K Run/Walk will be June 29 at Booth Park. Register from 6:45 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. on the day of the race.

Proceeds will go the Tampico Food Pantry and Tampico Library.
