Garden Sale set for Saturday

Published: Thursday, May 8, 2014 1:15 a.m. CDT

STERLING – Master Gardeners from Whiteside County will hold its annual plant sale at 8 a.m. Saturday at Grandon Civic Center Gazebo in downtown Sterling, until the plants run out.

Donated plants can be delivered during the 7:15 to 8 a.m. setup time or during the sale. The plants are usually priced between $1 to $5, and are grown locally.

Gardeners can also arrange for plants to be picked up Friday by calling 815-213-0164 or 815-441-5677.

Organizers are seeking more donations because of the harsh winter and its effect on some perennials.
