AMBOY – There has been a change in ownership at Green River Oaks Camping Resort, 1442 Sleepy Hollow Road.

The resort has been bought by Dennis and Nanette Gillan of Arlington Heights. The Gillans bought Green River Oaks after the 2013 camping season came to a close.

This year, campers will notice some improvements made by the Gillans, including updates to the camping store, ranger station, arcade and recreation hall. More improvements are in the works, the owners promise.

To maximize fun at the resort, check its schedule of activities, which include themed weekends. Christmas in July is on tap July 11-13, Luau Weekend is July 25-27, or you can place your bet on Casino Weekend, set for Sept. 19-21.

For more information or to book a stay at the resort, call 815-857-2815 or visit www.greenriveroaks.com.
